Slide all tiles in one direction. Matching neighbors combine, and each tile merges once per move. Each merged value is added to your score. Every effective move adds a 2 or 4.
Build toward a corner
Keep your largest tile near a corner and arrange smaller tiles alongside it. Leave empty cells for the next spawn; chase space before a crowded merge.
2048 is a milestone
Reach 2048, then choose Continue or Finish. A locked board also finishes the run, even below 2048. Tile achievements unlock at completion.
